Kraken Sourdough is all about slow fermentation, quality ingredients and seriously good bread.

Tucked away in Huskisson’s back lanes, everything is made from scratch, fermented and baked on-site daily. Their long-ferment sourdough sits alongside croissants laminated with Pepe Saya butter, bagels, waffles and a breakfast menu built around house-made and locally sourced ingredients.

Spirits of Jervis Bay is back this November, bringing together some of the South Coast’s best distillers for a day of great drinks, food and live music by the bay.

Set in White Sands Park in the heart of Huskisson, the festival is a chance to meet the makers and discover locally produced gin, wh**ky, vodka, rum and more, with tastings and drinks from distilleries across the region.

Alongside the spirits, enjoy local food, live entertainment and a relaxed festival atmosphere overlooking Jervis Bay. Whether you’re a spirits enthusiast or just looking for a great day out in Huskisson, it’s a celebration of the people, flavours and creativity of the South Coast.

A true local institution Huskisson Pictures has been bringing movies to the heart of Huskisson for generations. Movies have been screened in its historic Sydney Street building for more than 80 years, and today the cinema continues to combine its old-school charm with new releases, independent films and special screenings.

This weekend, Huskisson Pictures will host the Shoalhaven First Nations Film Fest bringing together First Nations films, filmmakers and community for a celebration of Indigenous storytelling, culture and connection to Country.

Throughout the year, the cinema also plays host to major events and special programs including the Travelling Film Festival, Flickerfest and National Theatre Live, making it an important part of the cultural life of Huskisson and the wider South Coast.

Whether it’s a new release, film festival or a classic movie night with popcorn and a choc top, Huskisson Pictures is one of those special local places that makes Husky, Husky.
