⭐️ At Rotary, we honour individuals not only for their remarkable contributions to our community, but also the quiet and selfless ways in which they go about it. ⭐️
The Rotary Club of Huon Valley is proud to present the Paul Harriss Fellow to Jorinde Tenten from Harcourts Huon Valley and Tanya Page from Huon Valley Council for their incredible contributions to our community.
Paul Harriss, a small-town lawyer, moved to bustling Chicago and, like many of us relocating to new areas, struggled to find a sense of community. His vision to create a network of diverse professionals exchanging ideas and forming meaningful friendships led to the establishment of the very first Rotary Club. This was 120 years ago.
At its heart, Rotary has always been about ordinary people doing extraordinary things to make a difference. In the most inspiring circumstances, we honour such individuals who exemplify Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self”.
This recognition comes through a significant financial donation made in both Tanya and Jorinde’s names to, the Rotary Foundation, which supports life-changing projects around the world. It is one of the highest honour that the world’s largest service organisation can present to someone and is not taken lightly.
Congratulations to both Jorinde and Tanya, and thank you for your extraordinary contributions to the Huon Valley and beyond.
Thank you to all for joining us at the Lost Captain for this special presentation.
