𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 💧

Flinders Shire Council is working hard to improve urban water services, but we need your support to make sure all our communities get the reliable and better water quality they deserve.

Although safe to drink, some of our residents are currently facing challenges with discoloured water — water that doesn’t meet the standards many other Queenslanders take for granted. Last December, the Flinders Shire community also faced six consecutive weeks of ‘boil water notices’ due to E. coli detection in our water delivery system, causing significant discomfort. This is an issue of fairness and access to basic services, and it’s time to come together to make sure our voices are heard.

We’ve launched a petition to the Queensland State Parliament, urging the State Government to provide the necessary funding to upgrade our ageing water infrastructure and treatment plants.

We sincerely thank State Member Robbie Katter MP for sponsoring this petition and helping to bring our community’s concerns to the floor of Parliament 🙏
