This is the current list of playgroups in our southern network as of 30 June, 2026.

Within the network are parent and volunteer led playgroups, organisation led playgroups and Playgroup Tasmania staff led playgroups.

Most of them have a page to like/follow which is helpful for up-to-date details such as 'what to expect', any particular themes, $ donations, cancellations, venue changes etc.

Important Community Update

To all our families and supporters,

We want to share some news with heavy but hopeful hearts. After many wonderful years of connection, play, support and growth, Howrah Baby village will be closing and will not be returning next year .We are so grateful for every parent caregiver and baby who has shared their time, stories and smiles with us.

While this chapter has ended, we're excited to let you know that a new baby village will be opening in Risdon Vale at the Risdon Vale Neighbourhood Centre beginning in February next year.

Thank you again to everyone who has been part of Howrah Baby village. Your warmth, trust and support have meant the world to us.
