*posting with permission* It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and former Coordinator, Nicole, who passed away overnight.

Nicole had a heart of gold. She dedicated so much of herself to Burrum District Respite and, most importantly, to our wonderful clients. Her kindness, compassion and genuine care touched the lives of so many. She always went above and beyond for both our clients and our staff, and her warm smile and caring nature will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Anyone who knew Nicole also knew of her incredible love for animals, especially dogs. They held a very special place in her heart, and she adored them with the same kindness and compassion she showed to everyone around her. Her gentle, caring nature extended far beyond people, and her love for animals was truly one of the many beautiful things that made her who she was.

On behalf of everyone at Burrum District Respite Association, we extend our deepest condolences to Nicole's family, friends and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you, Nicole, for the love, care and dedication you gave so freely. Your kindness, generosity and beautiful spirit will never be forgotten. You will be deeply missed and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of our Burrum Respite family

On Wednesday we had a wonderful day celebrating Christmas in July with our amazing clients.

We enjoyed a beautiful spread of festive favourites for lunch, followed by a selection of delicious deserts.

One of the highlights of the day was our Secret Santa gift exchange, the room was filled with joy as everyone unwrapped their surprises.

Also a big congratulations goes to Loll, who was our lucky winner of the $100 Money Board! We hope you enjoy your winnings.

A huge thank you to our incredible staff and volunteers who helped make the day such a success, and to our wonderful clients for making it so special!

We're looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Officer Administrator/All-Rounder to join the friendly team at Burrum Respite.

If you're organised, enjoy variety, have a creative side, and love being part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you! This is much more than a traditional admin role, you'll assist with office administration, social media and marketing, while being cross-trained across a range of office functions to provide support when needed.

Our new Hervey Bay Day Respite Group has been making the most of the community with relaxing morning teas, visits to our local parks and Botanical Gardens, scenic drives and sightseeing around town as well as Maryborough.

Every day is a little different, with our clients helping choose activities that interest them most. We love seeing the smiles, conversations and memories being made.
