Mainstreet Australia is turning 30 this year.

The Victorian Small Business Commission has published an updated Retail Leases Information Brochure for Tenants, which landlords in Victoria must provide to prospective retail tenants for any new lease negotiations commencing on or after 1 July 2026.

The brochure helps prospective tenants understand their rights and responsibilities, key lease terms, likely costs, and the questions to ask before signing.

Supporting informed decision-making at the start of the leasing process can help reduce misunderstandings and disputes, benefiting both tenants and landlords.

Landlords are encouraged to download the brochure now in preparation for 1 July 2026. It is available in 15 languages at vsbc.vic.gov.au/new-brochure.

How long have we waited for this!! To say how proud we are of Danny and Sam Rightbank Brewing Society for their perseverance, determination, and unwavering commitment to their dream, is a total understatement. These two are legit, and have created not only an epic brew, but a story and legacy for our city. Congratulations guys, and to everyone else, get out there and support those brave enough and dedicated enough to create something new and exciting for their community 🍺🍻💕

The tools are down. The taps are connected. The mood is set and now it’s time to open the doors. 😍
