Hi there, everyone. Just a friendly reminder that the winter competition starts on the 14th of April, so next Tuesday from 7pm. We have a lot of numbers this year, especially B grade, making 7 teams of three. A few new faces have joined, and a few returning players want to have some fun this year.
A grade has 12 players overall, making 6 teams of 2 playing big 7-set showdowns. Lachy King has moved up to A grade this year and will be playing right besides his father Andrew King.
The B grade has 21 players making 7 teams of 3. Due to the odd number, each week will have one team with a bye. Due to overall missing out on one round, we have increased finals from the top four to the top six. We have a few new faces joining in this year, Steven Zhu and Mark Ngoi. Plus, we have a couple of returning players in Emmalee Anton and Sharon Clough. Plus, Steve Robinson dropping down from A-grade competition to play B-grade increases the top-end level of B-grade. It's going to be a cracker of a winter comp; it's great to see 30-odd people playing. Happy hitting everyone 🏓
