🌼SPRING COMPETITION UPDATE!!!🌼

What a week of competition and a massive jumble on the leaderboard. Cloud 9 jumped from 6th to 4th, the Wildcats' big win jumped them into 2nd, and Spin Masters is in 1st with one win in front of the pack. With only two more rounds before finals, the only teams left with a bye are Alternates next week and Spin Masters the week after. Wonder how the leaderboard will look after the next two weeks and see if spin masters keep their top spot leading into their bye round.

Wildcats clutched in four 5-set showdowns to win big against Shadows, winning 8-4.

Cloud 9 came out guns blazing this week looking for revenge after losing last week by only two points, defeating Go Getters 8-4.

And Spin Masters was to strong for the alternatives, winning 7-5 and solidifying their top spot.

Ps. Special shoutout to Filip, who is from Melbourne and was up in Horsham due to work and loves table tennis. He messaged me on FB and was looking for a social hit, and then one thing led to another, and he ended up filling in for the past two weeks and absolutely loved every second of it. He goes back to Melbourne this week, so we will miss you mate, and thanks for filling in, and safe travels back home. Always welcome back to have a hit-up if you ever swing through Horsham again. 🌼Spring competition round four update!!!🌼

What a night of table tennis, one for the history books.

The matchup against Shadows and Cloud 9 was a once-in-a-million result way closer than the Grand Final from 2025.

Both teams won 6 matches and 22 games apiece. The only deciding factor was the points. Shadows 377 to Cloud 9s 375. Unbelievable how close this one was with only two points in it.

Spin masters kept their dominant form, winning 8-4 against Pongtastic, and Wild Cats won 7-5 against the Alternatives.

This year's spring comp is very spicy.🌶️

🌼Spring Competition UPDATE!!!🌼

The first three weeks have delivered some great close games. Especially the Go Getters living up to their name. Winning 6-22 against Pongtastic 4 6-21 by only ONE GAME. In the third week, they win again 6-23 to 6-21 against the ALTERNATIVES by only TWO GAMES. Clutching up like the lions did, amazing to witness. Been a few 7-5 results and one 8-4 result against SPIN MASTERS and CLOUD 9. CLOUD 9 lost four 5-set showdowns in that week, which hurt them, but they bounced back the following week, going 7-5 against PONGSTATIC 4. Very close leaderboard at this stage, but the Go Getters have one win advantage over SPIN MASTERS.

The Horsham Lads Leon Forrest, Trevor Niblett, and Mahbub went to Deniliquin for their state open this past Saturday and Sunday and played some great singles and doubles against some tough competition. Brought home some great wins, and Trevor won the third division. Great efforts from our guys.

What a first round of the spring competition. 7-5 across the board. 1 win from the losing side could have flipped the match around. This is what you like to see, very close matches. Anyone has a chance to win.

All team names are in, and some teams are getting a bit imaginative with their choices. Plus a sneak peek at what is on the line for the winners and runners-up in a few weeks' time. Gold/purple, silver/red. Happy hitting, guys.

On Sunday the 13th we had two Australian legends come up to Horsham to show Horsham and Warracknabeal players some great training drills, give us feedback, and more.

Melissa Tapper and Xavier Dixon are two of Australia's greats. Melissa has been in multiple Olympics and para Olympics, and Xavier is one of Australia's best male players who plays over in the Germany league. What a privilege it was seeing these two come and have a hit with us and give us excellent feedback. Ps. Frank Lyell took his chance to grab a sneaky pick.

Plus, the spring competition starts tonight. Be great to see everyone again. 🏓

The spring competition is less than a week away. It starts on the 15th for most players except for the bye team that consists of Trevor, Gino, Leigh D, and Jen D.

This year was hard to make teams. This year, we only have four number 1 A graders available. We had to base our decisions on the overall player performance from the winter competition leaderboard from both grades.

🌼SPRING COMPETITION UPDATE🌼

Hi everyone, as spring approaches, it signifies the return of the spring competition. This year we at Horsham Table Tennis are organising the spring competition a little earlier than last year.

We aim to have everything organised by September 15th. Which means more rounds for everyone. The same concepts as last year, A and B grades, are combined into four players per team. Last year's grand final was a blast, ending up coming down to mere points. If you are interested in being a part of this more social competition, then send us a message.

Plus, the facilities are still open Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the Keenagers from 9am and Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm for anyone wanting a good hit.

For non-gold members, $50 for this competition. Winners are presented with medals on grand final day.

GRAND FINAL RESULTS!!!

A-grade results.

Double Trouble: Trevor Niblett and Peter Herman's defeat Acoustics: Mahbub and Rob Caris 3-2.

Absolute fireworks from start to finish this one. The biggest turning point was the doubles, where Trevor and Peter took charge, winning 4-2. All season the A-grade doubles have been crucial in winning, and they got the job done.

B-grade results

Rascals: (Todd K, Brad N, and Sharon C) defeat Hawaii: (David M, Andrew L, and Rocky) 6-2.

What a match this was! The rascals came with vengeance. Two weeks ago Rascals lost to Hawaii 6-3, and now they bring a complete flip to win 6-2.

Todd won the first match, and Brad N played unbelievably to win his match against Andrew Lang. Rascals won the first doubles and then put on the afterburners, winning three of the next four matches and winning overall 6-2.

What a night of competition! It's crazy how finals can bring the best out of people. Well played everyone. Big shout-out to Frank Lyal for setting up the finals venue. It really set the feel of the place for the night. Plus all the spectators that came down to watch and clap.
