At first glance, this looks like a piece of futuristic technology trapped inside crystal—but it’s actually a real gemstone called Rainbow Lattice Sunstone.

Found only in a small, remote area of Australia’s Northern Territory, this incredibly rare stone is famous for its dazzling lattice-like patterns that shimmer with rainbow colors.

The geometric designs are naturally formed by microscopic mineral inclusions, making every specimen completely unique.

Because of its limited location and extraordinary appearance, Rainbow Lattice Sunstone is considered one of the world's most unusual and sought-after gemstones.

Our search for is making waves internationally.

Following an airing in Seoul, Su Wenchi's Sensing Dark Matter was celected for the Immersive Zone at the 15th CineGlobe Film Festival at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.

The immersive VR work captured in the Stawell Underground Physics Laboratory (SUPL) explores the search for dark matter and was supported by the Centre and SUPL.

It is exciting to see Australian science and the world class SUPL facility showcased on a prestigious international stage.
