As Sharon Reid, Psychologist and Founder of Hornsby Connect Zone, writes, Hornsby Connect Zone was created because every neurodivergent teen deserves a place where they feel they belong.

Our rules are simple:
✅Be respectful.
✅Be kind.
✅Include each other.

We didn't want cost to be a barrier - so our incredible mentors are all volunteers, and sessions are just $5 (including delicious food, activities and a drink!).

If you know a neurodivergent teen who's looking for their people, we'd love to welcome them! 💙💚

🎮🎨 Calling all compassionate changemakers!

Hornsby Connect Zone is looking for volunteers to help create a safe, inclusive space for neurodivergent teens.

Located at the Hornsby Youth and Family Centre, this vibrant hub is packed with art, Nintendo, and games—plus plenty of heart.

As a volunteer, you’ll connect with young people, support fun activities, and champion Respect, Inclusion, and Kindness (RIK). Every calm, caring moment makes a difference.

The Hornsby Connect Zone is open to teenagers who identify as neurodivergent. If you’re looking for a relaxed, friendly place where you can be yourself and connect with like-minded peers, this is for you!

What happens in a session?

Special Interest Sharing – A chance to geek out about hobbies and passions.
Art & Creative Expression – Drawing, music, and storytelling.
Collaborative Games – Strategy, teamwork, and
fun challenges.
Sensory-Friendly Spaces – Quiet areas for
downtime.
