Parents, please let your youth know that there's no Youth Space today - Wednesday 21st January. As from tomorrow, Youth Space will be held temporarily at the Hopetoun Sports Pavillion every Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 4pm-6pm.

Friday 23rd August 4:00pm-5:30pm - Ages 12-18 at Hopetoun Youth & Art Space

Join us for a special songwriting workshop led by Zero Emcee, the stage name of acclaimed indigenous artist Jaydan Ahmat. Zero has made a significant impact on the Australian music scene with his powerful and socially resonant rap.
Deeply rooted in Noongar and Jingili cultures, Zero’s music not only resonates widely on social media but also reflects a profound connection to his heritage and a dedicated representation of his culture.

Workshop topics include:
β€’ Expressing yourself through lyrics: Learn effective techniques to convey emotions and stories through songwriting.
β€’ Crafting meaningful lyrics: Explore examples of lyric writing and the underlying messages that make them impactful.
β€’ Adding lyrics to beats: Understand the process of integrating lyrics seamlessly with music beats.
β€’ Creating beats and recording lyrics: Gain insights into beat-making techniques and the basics of recording vocals.
β€’ Freestyling techniques: Develop improvisational skills to enhance creativity and spontaneity in your music.
