Northern Turners is a local club dedicated to promoting fine woodcraft. We are proud to present an exhibition and sale of work at the Tea Tree Gully Library from Aug 22nd to September 5th. Open during library open hours. Hundreds of pieces on display. All 100% handmade locally and most crafted from environmentally sound recycled timber or fallen trees.

This will be our only exhibition for the remainder of 2026. Don’t miss it!

Wood turning is an ancient craft, now mainly kept alive by hobbyists. Northern Turners is a club of enthusiasts ranging from professionals and experienced amateurs through to raw beginners. We meet three times a month at Hope Valley and we welcome new members. Beginners are given a full safety briefing, before being helped to learn a range of tool skills and techniques. If you or a friend might be interested, please drop in to the exhibition and talk to one of our members. Discover your inner creative and find joy crafting beautiful objects with your own hands. If interested, a 3-month trial membership costing only $7.50 could be a good investment for you.

Week 4 of the Burnside Exhibition. After showing some smaller items, here are a few bigger ones -- platters, serving boards, chess boards, and cutting boards. Once again, quite a wide range of options to choose from. But remember, there's more than just looks, so make a point of dropping in to touch and feel them too.
