At Sydney Markets Foundation, we’re proud to support the incredible work of Little Wings — helping regional families access lifesaving medical care, without the added burden of travel costs or separation. ❤️✈️

Meet Oscar, a 6-year-old from Armidale, NSW. Oscar lives with cystic fibrosis and requires ongoing specialist care at HNEkidshealth. Thanks to Little Wings, Oscar and his family can travel to and from appointments safely and completely free of charge, staying together during what can otherwise be an incredibly stressful time. Oscar’s mum, Carmen, shared that the Little Wings service has taken away so much worry and replaced it with care, hope and connection — something we’re honoured to help make possible.

This is exactly what the Sydney Markets Foundation fundraising and advocacy supports — real flights, real families, real relief. Through initiatives like the iconic Cherry Auction, funds raised go directly towards providing free air and ground transport for children and families who need it most, ensuring geography never becomes a barrier to healthcare. 🍒

Thank you to our Cherry Kings and Queens from Parisi and TRIMS FRESH Merrylands, as well as all the industry supporters who gave generously and who continue to stand alongside Little Wings. Together, we’re putting country families first and helping keep them where they belong — together.

Still feeling the high from the incredible success of the night - the Cherry Ball 2025 and Cherry Auction. $260,000 raised for our charity partner Little Wings.

We had such a blast with everyone who attended, our MC Dare, the Live and Silent Auctions (that raised funds for the Sydney Markets Foundation), and the incredible band Brown Sugar Music.

🍒 Record-breaking Cherry Auction!

This year’s Sydney Markets Cherry Ball raised an incredible $260,000 for Little Wings - our greatest result ever.

For the first time in the auction’s 44-year history, we crowned two Cherry Royalty winners, Parisi Sydney and TRIMS FRESH Merrylands, both taking home the Cherry King & Queen titles.

Sydney Markets Foundation CEO Meegan George said, “The Cherry Ball brings together growers, retailers and supporters to celebrate our incredible Australian produce and make a real difference. This year’s record-breaking result shows just how deeply our community cares.” All funds go directly to Little Wings, helping provide free air and ground transport for seriously ill children in regional and rural areas. “Every bid truly changes lives and demonstrates the generosity of our community. This result surpasses all expectations.”

Little Wings CEO Clare Pearson shared her gratitude, “Every single dollar counts. These much-needed funds will allow us to expand our services so more families can access the care they need, when they need it most.”

A huge thank you to our incredible donors - including Sydney Markets Credit Services and the consortium of businesses who helped push this year’s total to new heights.

✨ The Winner Is Here! ✨

The wait is over – the 2025 Cherry Selection champion has been crowned! 🍒

From eight of the finest growers who supply Sydney Markets, Smiths Fruit has taken out the top spot for the second year running.

Their winning box of cherries comes straight from the picturesque Warby Range Orchard in Wangaratta, Victoria, to wholesaler Antico International – and wow, they’re stunning!
Think large, heart-shaped cherries, with garnet-coloured skin and red-pink flesh that tastes as good as they look. These beauties were the standout among fierce competition.

🏆 Two years in a row? The Smith family must be doing something magical with that soil! Last year’s variety was different to this year’s – but they still took the gong!
📅 The winning box will be auctioned at the 44th Annual Cherry Auction & Ball this Saturday night, raising funds for Little Wings, the Sydney Markets Foundation’s chosen charity
