Our Story

The Queensland Hypertension Association Inc. (QHA), an Australian Charities Not For Profit Commission (ACNC) registered health and education charity, was founded by Professor Richard Gordon in 1981.

The QHA is the only charity of its kind in Australia, and is supported and run by a Committee of hypertensive patients, cured patients, health professionals and other interested contributors. These people believe that patients can help themselves to a significant extent in the prevention and control of hypertension.

The goals of the QHA are essentially “education and research in the fight against high blood pressure”. www.hypertensionqueenslalnd.com.au
