A big THANK YOU to all our visitors for attending our Open Day this past Sunday. We estimated about 200 came through the door of which about half were children. Thanks to our members who ran trains and spoke to visitors explaining operations.

An emergency was declared at Sierra Central railroad shops today when fire broke out in the Welding workshop. The shop was well ablaze by the time the Fire Brigade arrived. No one was injured fortunately. Come to our Open Day this Sunday between 9am and 1pm to see the aftermath for yourself.

INTERESTED IN JOINING A MODEL TRAIN CLUB?

Do you live in or near Brisbane? Do you have an interest in US prototype and model trains? Are you already a member of a train club but want to run trains in prototypical operations or just expand your knowledge and mix with like-minded people?

Here's a perfect opportunity to come and check out our club, meet some of the members and see what we're all about. This SUNDAY, August 2nd, between 9am until 1pm, our club is Open to the Public. We'd love to welcome you to join in the fun.

If this sounds like your kind of club, we have vacancies for membership and invite you to visit our Open Day or if you’ve been before but want to explore membership by initially contacting our Secretary, Roy, via email: [email protected].

If you have a question, feel free to comment below and we will try to answer as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you.
