One of the questions we explored at UMC 2026 was: how do we know God's will?

Many of us spend time searching for specific answers about the future. But Scripture often points us first to something deeper—aligning our lives with God's character, His purposes, and His Word.

God's will is not simply about finding the right path. It's about becoming the kind of people who walk closely with Him.

As we seek Him, trust Him and obey Him, He faithfully guides our steps.

Have you ever stopped to ask: am I using the gifts God has given me?

One of the challenges from UMC 2026 was the reminder that God has uniquely equipped every believer to serve. Not all gifts look the same. Not all callings look the same. But each of us has a part to play in the body of Christ.

As we faithfully use what God has entrusted to us, He often guides us into the opportunities and relationships He has prepared.

A question worth reflecting on:
How has God gifted you—and where are you using those gifts today?

"People may forget your explanation. They rarely forget an experience."

One of the reasons creativity matters in mission is that it helps people encounter truth in tangible ways.

Whether through hospitality, craftsmanship, storytelling or acts of service, creative expressions can point people toward the Creator Himself.

What's one creative gift you've seen God use to impact someone's life?

One of the most thought-provoking reminders from UMC 2026 was that the fruit of the Spirit is often produced when we're not focused on producing fruit at all.

Instead, we're focused on loving God, serving others and walking faithfully with Christ. As we abide in Him, the Spirit does His work in us.

Instead of asking, "How can I become more patient, loving or joyful?" try asking, "How closely am I walking with Jesus?"

"The glue holding communities together."

One of the most encouraging conversations at UMC 2026 was about the people who naturally care for others.

You know the type:
💬 "How are you going?"
🙏 "How can I pray for you?"
❤️ "I just wanted to check in."

Tag someone who has been that person for you.

After eight years serving in rural South America, this missionary couple reflects on the greatest lesson they've learned: trust God more.

Whether facing personal weakness, failed plans, unexpected obstacles, or spiritual opposition, they have seen again and again that God is not limited by human frailty. He is the one who opens doors, grows His church, sustains His people, and brings them safely through the battle.

May this testimony encourage us to place our confidence not in ourselves, but in the Lord who is always faithful.

One of the encouraging things we saw at UMC 2026 was a shared commitment to preparing the next generation for gospel ministry.

Healthy churches and healthy mission movements don't happen by accident. They are built as men and women are equipped to know God's Word, serve faithfully and lead with wisdom.

We're grateful for organisations like ACCS that invest in theological education and help prepare people for a lifetime of ministry and mission.

Please pray for those currently studying and discerning how God might use them in His kingdom.

"God steers moving boats."

We don't always get the full map before God calls us to move. More often, He asks us to trust Him with the next faithful step.

Where have you seen God guide you after you stepped out in faith?

What a week UMC 2026 was.

From Made For This and outreach conversations across the city to rich biblical teaching, worship, prayer and countless conversations over meals and late into the evening—God was at work in remarkable ways.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who prayed, gave, promoted and supported Urban Mission Camp. Your partnership helped make this week possible and invested in the formation of a new generation of mission-minded believers.

A special thank you to Kathy Beech for capturing the week so beautifully in this recap video 🎥

If you were part of UMC, what moment stands out most to you?

One of the ideas from UMC 2026 that challenged a lot of people: our role isn't to invent a purpose or build our own kingdom. It's to join what God is already doing in the world.

Mission is derived, not original.

Before it was ours, it was His.
