At our March meeting our guest speaker was Lesley from Strokesafe Tasmania. All have been touched by someone suffering a stroke and her presentation highlighted how we can recognise the symptoms of stroke and what we can do to minimise occurrence of stroke.
We also celebrated Deborah Beswick’s 10 years of service with our club and acknowledged Yvonne Bottomley’s continued support of our club and her retirement from committee positions after 15 years!!
We have such a great club no one wants to leave and our members are increasing. Much to celebrate with our 15th birthday this year in August. Watch this space!

Our November Friendship Day was attended by 10 of our members who enjoyed a drive up the Derwent valley to the Salmon Ponds, pancakes by the river and a stroll through the expansive lawns under beautiful trees. Oh and we fed the trout! The weather turned it on and everyone had a great chance to chat in a leisurely manner.
