Legacy Week
For over 100 years Legacy has supported partners, children and families of those that have served, many who lost their lives in service of our country.

Legacy week provides a timely reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made and the effects on the families that were left behind. This week, Legacy will be out and about in the community raising awareness and vital funds to continue supporting veterans' families.

Hobart Legacy have been supporting Terese and her daughter since 2015.

That includes things like education supplies, support networks and regular contact from our volunteers. We are in need of more people to volunteer with us, to help people like Terese and her daughter.

Hobart Legacy is in need of more volunteers to help us support the over 400 widows and widowers in southern Tasmania.

Over 100 years ago, an Australian soldier made a promise to look after the widows, widowers and children left behind after World War 1. Since then, Legacy have been upholding that promise and supporting the families of ex-service workers.

We need your help to continue.

Angus has been volunteering with Hobart Legacy since he was 11 years old. Now, at 14, he is calling on more young people to carry the torch.

Hobart Legacy supports veterans' families across southern Tasmania. Our beneficiaries include widows and widowers who have lost their partner and young children who have lost a parent to their service or related health issues.

Volunteering with Hobart Legacy takes many forms. It could be working on a sausage sizzle, visiting our beneficiaries, helping out our weekly lunches or simply calling someone and having a chat.
