The sound of something brewing at Be Hers… ☕️👀

A little café update is coming your way very soon. Watch this space 🤍

There’s something special about coming together around a table 🤍

Every four weeks at Be Hers, we host a Community Lunch, inviting people to help prepare and share meals from their culture.

But it’s about so much more than the food.

It’s sharing a plate. Sharing a story. Sharing culture, traditions and pieces of home with one another.

Community is such an important part of what we do at Be Hers. Creating spaces where women can connect, learn from each other, build friendships and feel a sense of belonging.

A box full of supplies, but really, it’s a box full of possibility 🤍

Rhi has been busy packing our Market Ready Scholarship kits, full with practical supplies to help participants take that next step towards starting their own business after completing our Retail Market Ready program.

And for us, this is a pretty special full-circle moment. Rhi first came to Be Hers as a participant in our youth program. Now, she’s part of the Be Hers team, helping support women through some of our other programs.

It’s a beautiful example of what we hope to create at Be Hers. Women building confidence, finding their strengths and then using those strengths to encourage and support others 💫

We can’t wait to see where our Market Ready participants take it from here.

The coffee machine is on and training has officially begun! ☕️🤍

But this café has always been about so much more than coffee.

It’s another opportunity to learn practical skills, build confidence and gain real-world experience that can support her into future employment, whether that’s right here at Be Hers or somewhere beyond our doors.

Our programs are designed to train, educate and empower women with skills they can take with them into whatever comes next.

And sometimes that starts with learning how to make a really good cup of coffee ☕️✨

A huge thank you to the team at Villino Coffee for helping us kick things off with barista training and sharing their knowledge with our participants.

One step closer to opening our doors… and we can’t wait!

🤍 SPONSORSHIP SPOTLIGHT 🤍

Be Hers exists because of community.

Behind our programs, events and the support we’re able to provide are incredibly generous people who donate their time, resources, skills, spaces and funds to help make it all possible.

And we want to take the time to shine a light on them ✨

Last month, Bernadette went above and beyond for our Bead & Brunch event, generously donating not only her time, but the beautiful Waterline venue and food for the day.

Her generosity helped us create a truly special experience, bringing women together for connection, conversation and purpose while supporting the work of Be Hers.

But what meant just as much to us was hearing what the day meant to Bernadette herself.

So rather than us tell you why she chose to support Be Hers, here are a few words from Bernadette about why she said yes 🤍

Bernadette, we are endlessly grateful for the way you opened your doors and your heart to our community.

Something tells us this is only the beginning of a very special friendship… and we can’t wait to see where it takes us 🤍
