The AHA/RCA (Tasmania Branch) was first formed in 1839 which was then Australia's first Hotel Industry Association. Among the principle objectives of the AHA/RCA is the further development and growth of Tasmania's Hospitality and Tourism Industry and in particular the maintenance of Hotels and Restaurants and the provision of high quality accommodation, food, beverage and entertainment. On the 25t

h of November 2009, the Australian Hotels Association - Tasmanian Branch and Restaurant and Caterers Association Tasmania Branch formally merged to become the Tasmanian Hospitality Association. For our members nothing will change, we will continue to represent you in the way we always have. However, the merger combined with the appointment of a Minister for Hospitality puts us in an even stronger position to represent our members and our industry. Methods utilised to protect and promote the interests of the Hospitality Industry include periodic conferences and meetings, parliamentary liaison at both Federal and State levels and communication of industry interests to various audiences.
