Why renew your membership?

Your Federal ADA membership plays an equally important role in protecting and advancing your profession at a national level, from shaping major policy decisions to keeping you up to date with
regulatory and policy changes so you stay safe and compliant.

• Advocacy at a national level — Your issues are heard in Canberra as we represent your interests, influencing policy decisions and political priorities.

• Support to practice with confidence — Being a member gives you access to the ADA's regularly updated Schedule and Glossary and Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines, access to the Therapeutic Guidelines – Oral and Dental V4, plus a range of clinical and practice resources developed by our expert member committees.

• Free access to high-quality, peer-reviewed CPD — Learn on-demand online, or on your phone via the Dental Files podcast.

• Congress 2027 — Discounts to attend ADA’s flagship national CPD event featuring presentations, workshops, informal learning sessions and networking with respected Australian and international speakers.

• A national network of peers — Connect with practitioners who understand the realities, challenges and rewards of a career in dentistry.

Being a dentist today is complex - clinically, commercially, and regulatorily. But you don’t have to carry that burden alone.  You’re not just joining your national peak body; you’re joining a community that strengthens your practice, protects your profession, and amplifies your voice.

ADATas CPD: Friday, May 1st - Nitrous Oxide and Oral Sedation

Dentists should be able to provide alternatives to control a patient’s anxiety and to assist them to receive treatment. This course will cover a spectrum of anxiety-relieving alternatives. It will give the caring dentist a selection of anxiolytic techniques that can be offered to their patients including psychosedation, oral sedation and nitrous oxide sedation.

All participants will have the opportunity to administer and experience the full range of effects of relative analgesia using nitrous oxide-oxygen, and, after completing the course, will feel confident in setting up and administering this agent.
