We're looking for a Counsellor (Mental Health & Wellbeing) to join our Phoenix Centre team in Launceston.

About the role:
β€’ In this full-time Counsellor role, you'll be responsible for delivering trauma focussed and recovery-oriented counselling, groupwork and related support services to individuals and families with a CALD background of all ages and genders, including people from asylum, humanitarian, and refugee backgrounds.
β€’ You would also contribute to community education and capacity building with CALD communities, external services, and the Tasmanian community.

Following on from July's workshop, Migrant Talent Connector is back with more practice! This session continues our soft skills series, focused on real scenarios from the Australian workplace.

We'll cover:
🚦 Setting Boundaries β€” how to say no professionally when your workload is full
🀝 Handling Difficult Conversations β€” delivering bad news calmly while keeping trust
πŸ“ˆ Managing Up β€” knowing when and how to keep your manager informed

We'll break into groups to practice β€” bring one or two scenarios from your own work or study environment to discuss and learn from each other!
