🍦 Ever tried to beat a bus to the ice cream queue… and lost? 😅

A visit to Van Diemens Land Creamery and WOW… just look at that line! Safe to say Gena should’ve snuck in before the bus rolled up 🚍🍨 — but instead, it was straight down to business.

Catching up with café manager Cecilia, the conversation quickly turned to all things GCE, with a strong focus on staff training and the support available. And let’s just say… she was asking all the right questions 🙌

Because at the end of the day, your team is your brand.

Gena had the pleasure of visiting TJ and Bree at the stunning Lanigan’s - what an incredible venue! 🦪🍇🍽️

There’s so much happening, from the restaurant and events to the winery, and even plans for a cheese factory 🧀🍷

Great to visit Devils@Cradle yesterday to complete a Business Health Check with Danielle & Renee.

We had a really valuable discussion around the venue’s purpose and the incredible work they’re doing, creating a facility that supports conservation and education of Tasmania’s iconic devils and quolls.

Gena also shared insights into a range of government programs and business support available to help strengthen their operations and support their team — all with the goal of ensuring every guest walks away with a truly memorable experience.

Keep up the fantastic work, it’s such an important space for both wildlife and visitors alike 👏

GCE Travels on Wednesday and it was time to take a stroll through the Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery… and wow, we’d forgotten just how big it is! So many rooms to explore, each with something different to take in.

The Aurora room is still Gena’s favourite ✨

Brogan has done a fantastic job with the gift and souvenir shop, plenty of great finds in there, definitely something for everyone!

🍻 Great Customer Experience Program — Bringing Industry Together

Daz was proud to attend the Licensees of Launceston quarterly catch-up alongside Allan, Michael and Ralph — with an incredible turnout of 25 local licensees in the room 👏

The group shared valuable insights on major pre- and post-event periods, including what worked well during Foo Fighters, PITP and Festivale, and where we can continue to improve for future events. Open conversations like these strengthen both businesses and the broader community.

A big thank you to our guest speakers Charlotte Wright (Launceston Central) and Tracey Mallet (Visit Northern Tasmania) for their contributions and industry perspective.

It was a relaxed, informal gathering enjoyed by all, and we’re already looking forward to reconnecting after Easter 🐣

Angie and Dave were back on the road for the Great Customer Experience Program, this time calling into The Old Cygnet Bank for a Business Health Check and to book a Venue Awareness session for the staff.

Manager Cas is loving the fresh vibe new owner Lucas Song has brought to this iconic local gem. The community proudly calls it their own — but they’re kind enough to share it with visitors too… it’s simply too good to keep secret.

And if you wander through the orchard, you can even pick yourself an apple… that is, if Dave hasn’t already beaten you to them all 🍎😄

Wrapped up in the Kentish area with a stop at the Sheffield Hotel Tasmania brand-new Cellarbrations Sheffield Bottleshop 🍻 before heading back down to Spreyton Cider Co 🍎 and across to the Forth Pub Tas.

Zoom zoom… BIG kilometres, great chats, amazing businesses, and plenty of laughs along the way.
Days like this remind us how lucky we are to work with such passionate operators 💛
