This event has been organized by the amazing Haematologist Dr Sonali Sadawarte who played a vital role in saving my mums life a few years ago 🙏🏻❤️

Please help us support and raise money for blood cancer research and the clinical trials unit at Royal Hobart Hospital. On Thursday 3rd of September at Menzies Research Building lecture theatre. “Burkitt” is a fascinating film about the discovery of Burkitt lymphoma in Uganda by an astute Irish surgeon. The film was made by a young Irish film maker who was diagnosed with this same lymphoma and happily recovered.

After the film enjoy finger food and drinks.

Fun fact … Ava has never been on Tassie soil since we’ve owned her! 🤷🏻‍♀️
Purchased in Perth she completed Perth to Darwin in 2025 before being driven to Melbourne by Joel and stored until we collected her just in time to take on Mildura to Townsville in Winter 2026. She was then driven to Melbourne by Graeme and stored with Laurie. Thanks Rally family and welcome to Tassie Ava! Time for some much deserved TLC before she heads off again for Winter 2027 Cairns to Darwin 🚙 🙌🏻

Ava is making her way home to Tassie today! Thanks to support crew Graeme who drove her from Townsville to Melbourne, and Laurie who handed her over today after a quick alternator upgrade yesterday 🤪
She’ll now have a bit of well overdue TLC before she heads off again next June for Winter Rally Cairns to Darwin 🚙 💨

So we might have done a thing … what’s one more hey and how could we say no to this epic route!! 😍

Things will look a little different this year, Ange will be busy galavanting around Svalbard on an expedition ship looking for polar bears in 5-10 degrees so we’re excited to announce Jodi’s co-driver this trip will be Kristen Magrath 🚙💨

Kristen (aka Chook 🐥) has been a great friend & supporter of the Tassie Tigers and our fundraising efforts for the past 4 years, so it makes perfect sense to get her in the car and amongst the action.

We’ll be calling on business sponsorships shortly, and stay tuned for plenty of good times and fundraisers along the way.
Together we CAN make a difference. Cheers 🍻
