South Australia’s largest social services provider supporting more than 55,000 people each year 💙 Together we change lives.

For more than 160 years, AnglicareSA has supported South Australians in need. Our 1,800 staff and 400 volunteers support around 50,000 people each year through a diverse range of programs and services including housing and homelessness, disability and mental health, aged care, foster care, emergency assistance, financial counselling and literacy, Aboriginal services, new arrivals, and children, youth and families.

Earlier today, AnglicareSA's Reconciliation Ambassadors swapped the meeting room for a visit to the beautiful Yitpi Yartapuultiku cultural centre in the City of Port Adelaide Enfield, known as the "Soul of Port Adelaide" in Kaurna language.

Guided by Cultural Ranger Willis, the group walked the land and learned the stories behind it, from traditional plant knowledge to the rich local history.

Ambassadors even got to sample flora like saltbush and native mint along the way 🌱

Our Reconciliation Ambassadors are a voluntary group of employees from all over AnglicareSA, dedicated to driving reconciliation efforts and embedding this important work into everything we do.

We are grateful for days like this that deepen our connection to Country and culture 🙏

This walk is one way we can support each other and remember that no one has to face this alone 💙

Time to turn the volume up... or down? 😄

Last Wednesday, our Communities for Children Playford team threw a silent disco where only the dancers could hear the music! 🎧

Kids and parents hit the dance floor, headphones on, grooving away in silence 🕺 Thank you to everyone who came along - we loved seeing the Playford community dance together!

Our Communities for Children programs are open to all families, with no referral required, for free 😊

Congratulations Maria! 🏆💙

Last week, our incredible foster carer Maria was named Foster Carer of the Year at the 2026 SA Child Protection and Family Support Awards, hosted by the Department for Child Protection SA 🎉

Nearly 20 years ago, Maria opened her heart and home to four-month-old Corey.

What began as fostering has become an extraordinary journey of love, resilience, and shared passion - the pair even went on to represent Australia together in speed stacking!

As Maria said: "I think every foster carer deserves an award." We couldn't agree more.

Congratulations Maria, and thank you for showing what's possible when one person says yes to changing a child's life 💙

Almost 80 AnglicareSA home care customers are living more independently thanks to a game-changing Australian Government grant 👇

The Support at Home Thin Markets Grant is helping close home care service gaps for older Australians - especially in rural, remote, or specialised areas where support can be harder to find.

Through this funding, AnglicareSA partnered with Max Healthcare Equipment to provide practical equipment like long-handled toe washers, foam-handled cutlery, grab reaches, and electric can openers.

It's the small items that make a big difference to everyday life 😊

Ten years ago, Lisa walked into an op shop to volunteer a few hours of her time - she's never looked back since 💙

A decade on, she's still showing up, sorting donations, handing out food, and offering a listening ear to South Australians in need.

This month, Lisa was honoured with a special pin marking 10 years of service - a milestone well earned, and a story worth celebrating ⭐

A powerful partnership is lighting the way to a more sustainable future! ♻️

We have come together with the Adelaide Anglicans and the Anglican Parish of Lockleys, in partnership with Beat Energy, to install 65 solar panels on the church's roof as part of our award-winning Community Solar Program.

This collaboration helps families on low to moderate incomes access reduced energy rates 🔋

Excess energy generated from the church's rooftop is channelled to program participants whose homes aren't suitable for solar panels, ensuring everyone benefits from clean, affordable energy.

It's a perfect example of what's possible when organisations with shared values work together for the good of the community 😊

We're thrilled to share that our Banana Splitz Program was recognised for excellence in client services and service provision at the Anglicare Australia National Awards in Darwin last week! ✨

For almost 20 years, Banana Splitz has provided more than 1,000 children aged 5 to 13 experiencing parental separation with a safe, supportive and confidential space to understand family change, build emotional literacy, strengthen resilience and connect with peers facing similar experiences.

This national recognition reflects the dedication of our KidsAreFirst team and everyone at AnglicareSA who has poured their heart into this important work over the years.

We're proud to continue this vital work, ensuring children know they are not alone during difficult times 💙
