Member Spotlight: The Sweet Plot Bookshop 📚

This week we’re celebrating Karyn Miller and The Sweet Plot Bookshop - an independent children's bookshop with a genuine love for books, readers and the local community.

Karyn has created more than just a place to buy books. The Sweet Plot is somewhere you can wander, discover something unexpected, have a chat about what you’re reading and get a recommendation from someone who actually knows their books.

It’s the kind of local business that reminds us why independent shops matter. Every book bought, every conversation had and every familiar face through the door helps keep something special in our community.

If you love books, love supporting local, or simply haven’t popped into The Sweet Plot yet, Karyn would love to see you.

Shop 1, 10481 New England Highway, Highfields.

Member Spotlight: MET Phys 💙

This week the spotlight lands a little closer to home — we're celebrating MET Phys, a founding supporter of the Highfields Chamber and one of the region's most trusted allied health clinics.

MET Phys has been serving the Highfields, Toowoomba, and Crows Nest communities since 2017, offering a full multidisciplinary team under one roof — exercise physiology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, osteopathy, remedial massage, and reformer pilates through their sister studio, Elevation Studios.

Their motto says it all: Move. Empower. Transform. And every day, they're living that out with the people of our community.

We're proud to have Sarah and the whole MET Phys team as valued members. 🌟

Member Spotlight: Daniel Wright — ANZ Mobile Lending 🏠

This week we're spotlighting Daniel Wright, not only a valued member of our Chamber but the President of our Chamber, stepping into that role at this year's AGM.

Daniel is the Principal of ANZ Mobile Lending Toowoomba and Highfields, a locally owned and operated business operating under the ANZ brand. As an ANZ Mobile Lender, Daniel brings a premium, personalised home lending experience directly to his clients — no queuing at a branch, no dealing with someone who doesn't know your name. He comes to you, takes the time to understand your situation, and walks you through the entire process from application to settlement and beyond.

Whether you're buying your first home, upgrading, investing, or looking to refinance, Daniel combines the backing of one of Australia's biggest banks with the personal service of a local business owner who genuinely cares about getting you the right outcome.

It's fantastic to have someone of Daniel's calibre leading our Chamber into the year ahead. We can't wait to see what we'll achieve together.

Reach out to Daniel at [email protected]

Welcome to the spotlight, Daniel! 🌟

Great to represent the Highfields business community tonight with a few political heavyweights. Thank you Angus Taylor and Tony Abbott for taking the time to listen to what’s important to our region.

Member Spotlight: Jess Jones Real Estate 🏡

This week we're celebrating Jess Jones Real Estate — a local property business that's become a familiar and trusted name in the Highfields market.

Jess and her team bring a warm, personal approach to real estate that's a world away from the big agency experience. They know this community, they know what buyers are looking for, and they're genuinely invested in getting the best outcome for every client — whether you're selling the family home or searching for your next one.

If you're thinking about property in Highfields or the surrounding area, there's no better person to have in your corner.

Welcome to the spotlight! 🌟
