10/02/2026
Last night, I rushed to Toastmasters for our second meeting of the year, 10 February 2026, and I’m so glad I did. I wouldn’t have wanted to miss a night like that.
Around twenty of us filled the room for what felt like a true speech marathon. Eight speakers delivered outstanding, high-quality speeches, and we celebrated the club’s Fasr Five Award of 2025, a testament to team effort and a leadership team that serves far beyond expectation.
With eight speakers, eight evaluators, round-robin, and all the usual activities, the evening could have felt long, but it didn’t. The speeches were thoughtful, emotional, and beautifully prepared. The theme was ritual, the words that were delivered Purpose Resilience and the feeling that united us was gratitude.
I felt deeply grateful to be there.
When I arrived home around 10:30, my husband had saved and reheated my dinner, rice pilaf with fish and salad. A simple act, filled with love. I ate quietly, carrying the joy and fulfilment of the evening.
This club attracts people with a powerful attitude of gratitude, each with a unique message and a deep desire to serve. I have the privilege of watching them work with urgency and excellence.
Why?
Because they know their life purpose.
And I trust that one day, many of these names will be heard far beyond this room — for the common good!

Smiles all around — and yes, the delicious cheesecake earlier may have helped 😉
