Happy hour last week brought 27 of our residents together for drinks, laughs and spontaneous plans that carried on well after the evening wrapped.

Some headed off for dinner, some kept the night going with a few games of cards, and others stayed on to enjoy the atmosphere.

With around the corner, the spotlight naturally turns to the coast. But some of the region’s best food stories begin inland.

This year’s Restaurant Series includes produce from .meats, a Gympie-founded name that began as a local butcher in 1958 and grew into one of Queensland’s most recognised beef producers, alongside organic poultry from in nearby Kilkivan.

For future residents at Liven Willow Rise, that’s part of Gympie’s appeal: close to Noosa for a long lunch or festival weekend, yet grounded in a region with deep agricultural character.
