On Wednesday March 18 Joana traveled in an open boat for a 4 hr to Koil island taking 100 days for girls kits from Hervey Bay DfG. Joanna is a vibrant advocate for women's health. This initiative helps girls manage their menstrual health with dignity and comfort, enabling them to continue their education without interruptions.

Today is International Women's day. Lisa and I shared at Riverside college about how Days for Girls helps girls thrive. The Education given during distribution of kits explaining how our amazing bodies work helps shake off stigma and fears about periods.

Great team effort this morning. 245 kits ready for PNG with help from our group in Maryborough. The overlocker team finished off over 300 shields. Fortunately we set up in advance so we were ready for our 20 enthusiastic women this morning. Kits will go to PNG and the Anguganak Healthy Motherhood Project in a container with Rotary.

Days for Girls conference in Fiji brought hundreds of women together from across the globe to celebrate, learn and be inspired. Our Days for Girls Hervey Bay QLD Australia Team brought 220 kits in our luggage and had 9 representatives. I shared at the conference about the challenges women face in PNG and how DfG and Anguganak Healthy Motherhood Project work so well together. We all enjoyed meeting Celeste the founder of DfG, hearing lots of great speakers, being part of such an enthusiastic band of women and then sharing some R&R together.

Photo shows our kits recently sent to PNG with a team visiting Ukarumpa. Highly valued and sort after by young women and mothers. Today at our sew day 17 women happily chatted, sewing and creating kits ready for Fiji in November.
