Wonderful events keep happening at the Bullarto Hall. On April 18th acclaimed cellist Zoe Knighton performs Charlie Mackesy's 'The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse' with movements by Bach.

"Charlie Mackesy's story gives us life lessons in a way that can relate to all generations," Zoe says. "Every time I play Bach, I have new insights into the human condition and find it fascinating that the notes he wrote 250 years ago still seem so contemporary today. Bach and Mackesy's profundity make for a natural pairing, each adding layers of emotion to the other".

We are thrilled to welcome back the Festival of Small Halls to Bullarto on Friday, 10 April 2026 with Tullara (AUS) and Joe H Henry (CAN).

It's a truly special night in the glorious setting of our humble hall, majestic ancient eucaplyts and the autumn paddocks and rolled hay of Old Blackwood Road.

A BBQ (including vegetarian options) will be available from the Hall Committee from 5:30PM – 7:00PM or until sold out. Sweet treats will also be onsale! The bar will be available from 5:30PM until close, and features local wines, beer and soft drinks.

Bullarto Public Hall has accessible entry (ramp up to hall entrance) and has accessible bathrooms (ground floor, wide doors).

Good evening friends of Bullarto Hall!

A quick update from tonight's hall committee meeting about improvements to the hall:

- We have installed new emergency exit lights inside the hall, as well as better outdoor lighting;
- Solar panels and a battery will shortly be installed;
- The hall now has wifi, for use by people that book the hall or by the community during an emergency

A reminder for people interested in booking the hall for community, private or public events. Please don't call individual committee members, all bookings can be made by emailing [email protected]

We're planning another community event to welcome Spring, at the end of October. More details soon.

And lastly, another call out for any community members that would be interested in doing first aid training. This would be paid for by the Hall and be in the interests of having more people in the community with first aid skills if needed in an emergency. Please express your interest by commenting below or sending us message or email.

And we're all sold out for the Festival of Small Halls Australia at Bullarto Hall tonight!

BBQ and Bar will be firing from 5.30PM.

Doors at 6.30PM.

Welcome to Country and our brilliant local support act Arlo Autumnus from 7PM.

Main acts from ~7.30PM.

At the bar we'll be pouring Minim XO Pet Nat (2023) and Chardonnay (2022) thanks to Boom Town Wines (Castlemaine) and Bendigo Shiraz thanks to our very local friends at Passing Clouds (Musk).

We'll also be offering our very own Bullarto Spritz (Bullarto Strawberry Gin, Wildberry Syrup and a good long splash of Prosecco) along with Beer and Ginger Beer (no alc).
