A few spots are still available for our very first HELD by HAS for Dads. đź’™

Created especially for bereaved fathers in our HAS community, this relaxed evening is all about connection, conversation, good food and support.

In partnership with Weber Grill Academy Adelaide, dads are invited to pull on a HAS apron, cook together, share stories and spend time with people who truly understand.

This special initiative has been made possible thanks to the generous support of the Heaps Good program.

Bring a mate or come on your own - you’ll be warmly welcomed either way... and you'll get a little gift pack to take home with you!

To the incredible small South Australian businesses who so generously answered our call for support for the HAS Foundation SkyCity Mother’s Day Luncheon… thank you 🤍
Because of your kindness, we raised over $8500 in our Silent Auction. We had over 50 incredible auction and raffle items - from gourmet hampers, beautiful artwork and fashion vouchers, to spa experiences, long lunches, dinners and thoughtful gifts.

Every donation helped create something truly special on the day, while also helping us raise vital funds for children with life-limiting conditions in paediatric palliative care and their families.

Thank you also to our Board and Committee members for championing our fundraising efforts, generously reaching out to their networks and helping secure so many incredible items that contributed to the success of the event.

We are constantly blown away by the generosity of our South Australian community and the way local businesses continue to show up for HAS Foundation.

Thank you for believing in what we do, for backing our mission, and for helping make this year’s luncheon our biggest event yet. We are so incredibly grateful. 🙏

Our first ever HELD by HAS for Dads is coming up next month and there are still a few spots left.

This meaningful new addition to our HELD by HAS programs has been created to support bereaved fathers through connection, understanding, community… and BBQ-ing.

We know that men often connect differently, so we’ve created something designed just for them as here at HAS, we want dads to feel seen, supported and connected too.

So in partnership with Weber Grill Academy Adelaide, we're inviting the dads in our HAS community to come together for a hands-on BBQ cooking experience in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Bring a mate, meet some new ones, and enjoy a memorable night around the BBQ.

This special initiative has been made possible thanks to the generous support of the Health Partners Heaps Good program.

There is something quite inspiring about sharing your story and our Co-Founder Ella does such an amazing job when talking about her family's journey with her son Hunter.

Ella recently sat down with Suzi Evans from the Suzi Says Podcast and spoke about the heartbreaking reality of child loss, and the journey that led to the creation of HAS Foundation, about living for the moment, about love and about finding purpose through that grief.

These conversations are never easy, but they matter deeply. By sharing her story, Ella helps other grieving parents feel seen, understood and less alone.

Mother’s Day doesn’t always look the way we expect it to…..

This year, mine feels a little different. I’m spending this weekend holding space, with a full heart, as we prepare to say goodbye to my beautiful grandma. At 97, it feels like time, but that doesn’t make it any less hard.

I feel so deeply grateful for these two incredible women who have shaped me into the woman I am today….my mum and my grandma. For everything they have given me, taught me, shown me, and passed down through love, strength, and example… I am forever thankful.

And to my three beautiful gifts, my boys, thank you for making me a mum.
You are my everything, my purpose, and my greatest blessing.

Sending love to everyone today, however Mother’s Day looks for you. Mine may be a little different this year, but I know I will be surrounded in love.

And I hope how ever your day looks….. whether you have your children with you, empty arms, a heavy heart or hoping to one day have children, that you are also surrounded in love.

We see you . We feel you . We are you ❤️

This week, we carefully packed 35 Mother’s Day gifts for first year bereaved mums in our HAS community. 🤍

While it is heartbreaking to know this represents 35 precious little lives deeply missed, it's incredibly important to us that each mum felt remembered, acknowledged and held this Mother’s Day.

Every gift was thoughtfully curated with love and care, small gestures we hope bring comfort and remind these mums that they are not alone in their grief.

At HAS, we know Mother’s Day can carry so much heaviness after the loss of a child. Through our HELD by HAS programs, we continue walking alongside families through the heartbreak, the milestones, and the moments that matter most.
