Today we think of every mum - we celebrate the ones we've got and cherish the memories of those who are no longer with us.💛

-To All Mothers-
To those who have lost their mothers, to those who desperately long to be a mother, to those who
selflessly love like a mother; to those who mother any and all beings, to the adoptive, surrogate,
nurturers and creatives, to those who may not have birthed life but have birthed a life of their own,we honor you.❤️‍🩹

Mother's Day can glow with love, or ache in quiet, tender ways.
For some, it's joy; for others, grief that lingers softly through the day.
So check in gently with the mums you know;
the new, the grieving, the hopeful, the worn,
the step-mums and the chosen mums too,
and those who feel a little torn.
A little care goes a long, long way for every kind of mum today. 💝

Many of us have seen the heartbreaking news of the house fire in Bowen Mountain, where two children lost their lives. Our thoughts are with the family, the siblings, the firefighters and first responders and the entire community affected by this devastating event.

Emergency services were called in the early hours of the morning, and while some family members were able to escape, two children were unable to get out.

Moments like this are incredibly difficult to process, especially as parents. There are no words that make sense of such loss.

What we can do, gently and without fear, is take a moment to check the small things at home that help keep our families safer:

A few quiet checks:
• Make sure your smoke alarms are working
• Test them regularly
• Check batteries and replace when needed
• Consider whether you have enough alarms across your home

These simple steps don’t prevent every tragedy, but they can provide precious time to respond.

You can find more guidance on home fire safety from the website, they have many fantastic resources
