Windcatcher is a heartfelt and inspiring story about a young Aboriginal boy growing up in rural Australia and the unlikely trio of friends preparing for their school sports carnival. But when a natural disaster threatens their isolated community, he must draw on the strength of his mates, family and community to face the challenge head-on. It’s a powerful story about courage, connection, resilience and finding your place.

🌿 Thank You, Heathcote! 🌿
A big thank you to everyone who attended the Advance Heathcote Inc. Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday 17 February 2026. It was wonderful to see so many community members come together to support the future of Heathcote & District.

We warmly welcome our new members and the 2026 Committee of Management. Your willingness to step forward and contribute your time, ideas and passion helps ensure that Advance Heathcote Inc. continues to support initiatives that strengthen the liveability, vibrancy and wellbeing of our community.

Our next steps include a handover meeting for outgoing and incoming Office Bearers on Tuesday 10 March, followed by the first full Committee of Management meeting for the year:

The survey is now open on the Let’s Talk community engagement website until Monday October 21.

The aim of the survey is to help understand the community’s social needs as funds and other resources are becoming increasingly constrained to address them.
