We have a lovely new home for our horses thanks to a very generous lady called Irene. We are now located in Martin just off the Canning Mills Road. The property is amazing and Irene has virtually given us the run of the whole property.
The horses seem to be loving it and have settled in . I imagine they might find it a little cooler in the winter up in the hills but I’m sure that they will be very happy In their new home.
A huge thank you to Dave and Don G for getting the horses and their gear organised at their new home. Thank you to all our volunteers for their help also.
A big thank you to all the public who were on the lookout for property for us, we truly appreciate your efforts to ensure that we keep the history of our historic 10th Light Horse Regiment alive forever the future.

We spent a magic day at the Moondyne Festival in Toodyay today.
Special thanks to our wonderful Avon Valley troop members, John, Ken, Ashlee and Milana along with our Perth troop members, Don G, Dave and Jacquie. Job well done.

A huge thank you to Don, Leigh and Barney (horse) for the Karnet ANZAC service event on ANZAC Day.

Lovely comments from the coordinator - I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for attending our Anzac Service.

The effort you all made, uniform, medals, ribbons and Barbey – I was truly overwhelmed with gratitude. Additionally, I had dozen staff (and many of the men) tell me it was the best service they had attended. We had close to 220 in total attend which is a huge feat for Karnet. I came to Karnet just after Anzac last year; last years’ service has 17 people attend.

I cannot wait to work further with you all - in any capacity – be it our section 95 teams or you attending to visit the men as guests again.

Peta – you were outstanding, patient and just wonderful with Barney.
