Ikarian Brotherhood of New South Wales The purpose of the Brotherhood is the unity, co-operation and mutual support of Ikarians in New South Wales.

The Ikarian Brotherhood is a social Greek community group which aims to bring people, whose ancestry can be traced from the Eastern Aegean islands of Ikaria and Fourni, together. Membership is open to anyone over 18 years of age (or their spouse) whose ancestry can be traced to the eastern Greek island of Ikaria and Fourni. The Brotherhood warmly welcomes all members and their guests.

The historic day of July 17, 1912, marked the expulsion of the Ottoman Turkish garrison by Ikarian rebels, who proclaimed the establishment of the Free State of Ikaria. 🇬🇷

Today, we commemorated this occasion with our Ikarian families and friends. We extend our gratitude to everyone who participated, enjoying a delightful afternoon with delicious food and cake, and value your support and friendships ❤️
