This is our why

14mm of rain, mud everywhere and paddocks absolutely soaked… and we have babies! 🐣🐣🐣

Field staff had the pleasure of doing abit of Plains Wanderer work lastnight, and it did not disappoint coming across 10 breeding pair in one night is the most field staff have encountered during the last 8 years, 13 being the top number before. Gayini is a unique landscape, it is the gift that just keeps giving.

🌿 World Ranger Day 2026 🌿

Today, 31 July, Gayini River Rangers and Nari Nari Tribal Council Ranger team proudly join communities around the world in recognising World Ranger Day.

The 2026 theme is "Rangers: Guardians of a Changing Planet," highlighting work amid climate extremes and complex environmental challenges.

Rangers care for Country, preserve cultural & heritage, care for our rivers, creeks, wetlands, protect biodiversity, support threatened species, undertake fire and land management, and learn from knowledge that has been passed down through countless generations.

Happy World Ranger Day.

Such an amazing day celebrating with Hay Public School! Our Ranger teams, members, and staff proudly shared their knowledge, culture, and time to help create lasting memories for the students of Hay while celebrating 50 Years of Deadly.

We think it’s safe to say the children went home with full tummies and big smiles on their faces.

A huge thank you to Hay Public School for having us and for being part of such a special celebration. We look forward to many more opportunities to come together, share culture, and create lasting memories.

πŸ¦”Nature’s Little Conservation Crew πŸ¦”

Did you know echidnas do more than just wander through the bush? These unique animals play an important role in keeping ecosystems healthy.
🐜 digging for ants and termites, they naturally aerate the soil, improve water movement, and help cycle nutrients back into the ground, creating healthier habitats for plants and wildlife.

Every small dig helps care for Country and protect biodiversity.

Field staff always capture the best photos
