Our organisation has a proud tradition of supporting the ex-service community - veterans and war widows and we are committed to providing high quality accommodation, services and support for veterans, war widows and the general public. We offer:
* Aged care services: in-home care residential aged care for all Victori

* Ex-service accommodation and support services for veterans/widows.
* The V Centre (coming in 2023): a residential program for veterans experiencing homelessness, marginal homelessness or struggling to find their way after leaving the services. A huge thank you to the Ringwood RSL Women’s Auxiliary for their generous donation to the Veteran Empowerment Program!

For the third year running, the Women’s Auxiliary has shown incredible support for our work at the V Centre. This donation directly funds essential care packages including fresh towels, doonas, pillows, toiletries, and food hampers for veterans moving into the V Centre. Having clean sheets and a warm meal ready allows our veterans to take a deep breath, gather their thoughts, and settle into their new space without extra stress.

We are so grateful for your ongoing support!

We are attending the Housing Expo at Djerring Flemington Hub today! 😊 Georgie, our Housing Manager, is also there representing the Vasey RSL Care Housing team.

Residents June and Maurice at Vasey RSL Care Bundoora enjoyed a special lunch for their 44th wedding anniversary last Wednesday.

Sandy, our superstar chef, cooked an excellent meal consisting of the following:
Entree: Prawn cutlets with kewpie slaw
Main: Honey mustard chicken served with mushroom sauce and seasonal vegetables
Dessert: Vanilla panna cotta with fresh berries.

The wine was topped up often, and Maurice presented his wife with a beautiful bunch of roses. Thanks to all who made this day possible.

Last week Vasey RSL Care Bundoora held a commemorative Vietnam Veterans Day service, honouring the service and sacrifice of Vietnam Veterans and marking the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan.

It was a very moving service, with Vietnam Veterans being honoured and wreaths being laid in remembrance of those who served and sacrificed.

We had a wonderful turnout and would like to sincerely thank Lieutenant Ralph C from the Simpson Barracks, as well as the Bugler Dawson and Bagpiper David, for their support and contributions to the service. We greatly appreciate your time and support in commemorating this important occasion.

We held a small but poignant ceremony for Vietnam Veteran's Day at Vasey RSL Care, Brighton East, marking the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan. Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Service

Today, Vasey RSL Care Frankston South respectfully commemorated the service and sacrifice of Australia’s Vietnam veterans.

It was an opportunity to pause, reflect and honour the courage, dedication and sacrifice of all those who served during the Vietnam War.

We extend our deepest respect and gratitude to our Vietnam veterans and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Vasey RSL Care was honoured to attend and lay a wreath at the Vietnam Veterans Day Observance Ceremony at Austin Health’s Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital this morning. The occasion gave us the opportunity to pause and remember the courage, service and sacrifice of those who gave so much. Rob, Siobhan and the team go above and beyond to ensure the event is dignified and memorable - a big thank you.

It was also wonderful for our V Centre Program Manager, Karen, and Board Chair, Mike, to catch up with Federal Repatriation Commissioner Kahlil Fegan and share the positive outcomes being achieved through the V Centre, supporting veterans and their families in our community.
