My name is Diego, I'm a senior boy at 8 years of age but my life is on the line! I only have until MONDAY 3RD AUGUST to find a home 😔

Sadly we continue to have NO SPACE at the rescue and this beautiful boy needs a home or rescue ASAP‼️Let’s NOT let him down.

Poor Diego is in a NSW POUND. He was found as a stray and no one came looking for him. He is not coping in the pound environment and as a result his situation is critical as he deteriorates in the busy, noisy kennel environment.

Diego is a very sweet, senior boy. He may not be a pretty cavoodle or golden retriever but he is just as deserving and should not be overlooked. In our eyes he is a gorgeous older gentleman and he has so much character - such beautiful pointy ears, eyes that melt your heart that are pleading for someone to help him, and a greying distinguished face. If only he could tell us what his life has entailed.

He deserves a second chance to be loved unconditionally 🙏 He will need a quiet home with no other pets.

Poppy is a long termer at the shelter. She is not coping in this environment and she desperately needs out & a home now.

This precious little girl was found after roaming for 2 days. Her history is unknown, but no one came looking for her. Poppy is an adorable, small and sweet girl with a heart of gold.

Despite her initial nerves and wariness of new surroundings, she displays a genuine desire for human affection, seeking pats and scratches once she feels comfortable with you. She is experiencing some anxiety, and is reactive to other dogs in the current environment. Sadly, she is not familiar with toys or playing but she loves treats and is eager to form a bond with her human companions.

With a little patience, love and a home, Poppy will thrive. Her ideal home would be one where she is the only dog in an adult only home where she is given the time to decompress at her own pace. A quiet home where she has her own space to feel secure and she can gradually build her confidence and trust.

Poppy is eager to find a forever family that can provide her with the care, love and training that she deserves.

** UPDATE: 2 DOGS FOUND. The chocolate brown one, in the middle of the photo, is still missing. His name is Hydro. He has never been out by himself before and he is hesitant around people he doesnt know. He is chocolate brown.

Three dogs have gotten off the owner's property around 4pm this afternoon in the Rooty Hill, NSW, area.

Urgently need Foster Care TONIGHT - Due to her age

BRANDY ~ 14 YR OLD FEMALE FOXY ~

Currently located at Matraville NSW

Her owner has been in hospital for several weeks now. Someone had been feeding Brandy but can no longer continue. Thankfully the owner hopes to be discharged next week but urgently needs foster care for approx. one week.

ABOUT BRANDY:

She likes people but is shy at first. Once she knows you, she will happily allow endless pats & affection. She loves to play, chasing balls & toys, but is not able to jump easily & prefers not to be picked up unless absolutely necessary as she has had a previous back injury. Brandy does bark, BUT only when surprised, for example, if the doorbell rings unexpectedly or a random alarm goes off!

Brandy has not socialised much with other animals, nor has she been exposed to children, so perhaps a no pet, no children environment would be the most loving thing to provide.

Chops is a beautiful 5 year old Blue American staffy. He has lived the last 5 months of his life confined to a small cage filled with his own waste 😢 He has "happy tail" as a result of being confined. He has received no medical attention whilst living in these disgraceful conditions at his home.

Despite this, Chops is a very happy Staffy. Just look at that gorgeous smile! 😀 He loves everyone he meets, affection and being around people. He is just beautiful! He likes to play with toys and walks well with a harness, but at 30kgs will need an experienced owner.

Could you give Chops his second chance and forever home 🙏

** UPDATE **

It has taken Rescue Hub a while to get answers, but they have been advised that Cyclone’s situation is currently being investigated by Animal Welfare League. Whilst this is a positive step for animal welfare and Cyclone, they unfortunately have to wait for an outcome of the investigation before any decisions are made. They hope to be able to rescue Cyclone once the investigation is complete and will keep in contact with AWL. Rescue Hub will be in contact with applicants to let them know. Unfortunately, they are unable to provide too much information as this could compromise the investigation and any justice for precious Cyclone.
Rescue Hub will provide updates as they are available to them.

😢💔 11 YEARS OLD, PARTIALLY BLIND & ABANDONED AT A BUS STOP💔😢

❌🚨URGENT home needed! 11 years old and he is in a NSW Pound. Rescue Hub are urgently trying to find a home for him🚨❌️

On the 21st of May, 11 year old gorgeous Cyclone was discovered with his lead nailed to a bus stop 😡 This precious boy touched the hearts of most that saw the post about him.

Partially blind with eye, skin, ear and potentially many other issues he was left there to fend for himself, scared and alone. It is thought that he was sitting there for up to 6hrs before the very kind hearted people
rescued him and took him to a vet. Imagine how many others passed by him and did nothing.

Despite Rescue Hub's attempts to intervene, and be able to foster him under duty of care to avoid him ending up in the pound, he was still taken to the pound ☹️ It’s no place for a dog in this condition, he should be in a home. He is receiving care in the clinic and is very fond of the vet. Rescue Hub can now attempt to find him a new, suitable home. They would like to get him out of the pound ASAP‼️

Rescue Hub have said he is an adorable, very sweet senior boy that has had a very tough time. It is unknown how long he has had to endure these health issues, but they should be able to be treated and resolved.

Initially, wary given he is in an unfamiliar place with everything he’s ever known now lost, but he warms up quickly and his tail is wagging again.

Cyclone will require vet work to get back to the healthy dog he should be but this will all be covered by Rescue Hub. They are raising funds on their post (see link below) if you would like to donate towards his vet care.

‼️URGENT!! THIS CAT HAS BEEN PURPOSELY TRAPPED BY SOMEONE IN THEIR YARD‼️

The cat was supposedly harassing the persons birds in their aviary so they have now trapped the cat. The cat unfortunately isn't microchipped.

No idea what they plan to do with this cat or where they are now keeping it. The group Admin is asking for rescue groups to step up and take it but the shelters and rescues are already overflowing with cats and kittens.

The person who trapped the cat needs to firstly door knock their surrounding neighbours, or letter box drop, put up some flyers and post on multiple lost and found pages/groups to try and find the owner, if there is an owner.

It's concerning when people trap cats on their property as you never know the outcome especially if they don't like cats.

😢💔 I'M 9 YEARS OLD & NOT ONE PERSON HAS ASKED TO MEET ME 💔😢

My name is Max and I'm BARC's oldest doggie. I will be 9 years old in August.

And somehow… I have found myself in an animal shelter.

My family didn't come looking for me. No one came to take me home. Since arriving here, I have had not one SINGLE meet and greet. Not one! Now I am the second longest term dog in the shelter.

Every single day, people walk through our kennels and stop to admire the younger dogs. The fluffier dogs. The “more desirable” dogs. They look at the dogs on either side of me … but never stop to look at me 😢

Every day I watch other dogs leave while I stay behind, curled up on my bed with my ball, waiting for someone to notice me too.

But nobody does 💔

Do you remember Sir Walter? He received an outpouring of love, attention and support — and BARC are so grateful for that but I deserve that same chance. I deserve people sharing my face. Asking about me. Coming to meet me. Caring that I even exist.

Because right now, it feels like the world has forgotten me.

And despite everything, I am is still so full of love ❤️

I am a friendly old man who is absolutely obsessed with my toys and tennis balls. I still get excited, still get jumpy, still have those little bursts of joy that remind you there’s a playful dog hidden inside this old soul.

I would suit an adults/teenagers only home, and while I may potentially do well with the right dog, I would probably be just as happy soaking up all the love on my own for once in my life.

I know I'm older.
I know I'm not flashy.
I know people scroll past senior dogs every single day.

But please… don’t scroll past me too.

I have spent enough time being invisible.

PLEASE give me a chance 🙏
