The objective of Hat Head Dune Care is to continue to engage the local community in undertaking restoration of the coastal vegetation on the public lands, to improve public amenity, enhance biodiversity and lessen the negative impacts of the village on Hat Head NP. The specific objectives of the group:
Identify key threatening processes, impacts and management issues;
Develop long-term

strategies to mitigate identified threats;
Develop and enhance long-lasting partnerships with community organisations to support the projects undertaken;
Raise awareness and engage the community to participate in conducting on-ground rehabilitation activities; .
