💢 BIG NEWS FOR HASTINGS AND WESTERN PORT! 💢
Hastings Community House is incredibly proud to announce that we are the only recipient on the Western Port side of the Mornington Peninsula of the 2026–2027 Community Food Security – Grant.
Our innovative project “Hastings Food and Care Network” will help us continue doing what community houses do best — bringing people together to support one another. 💚
🥘 Good food, made with care
Our kitchen team will continue transforming reclaimed food into delicious, nutritious meals, available free to people who need a helping hand.
🚐 More than a delivery vehicle
Our Hastings Community House vehicle, proudly sponsored by Community Bank Hastings, will help us collect supplies, deliver meals and conduct welfare checks, extending our reach into the community.
🌱 Growing stronger together
Through our collaboration with Wallaroo Community Garden, locally grown produce can become part of our food relief efforts, linking community gardening with practical action on food insecurity and cost-of-living pressures.
💛 Supporting our local young people
More than 260 meals have already been provided this year to young people participating in Inspire Change programs at the Mornington Peninsula Shire Youth Shed through our existing food relief initiative.
This funding will help us grow and expand a program built on the dedication of volunteers, community partnerships and the belief that everyone deserves access to good food and a caring community.
A huge thank you to the Hon. L. Grigorovitch MP, Community Bank Hastings, Wallaroo Community Garden, Inspire Change Crew, our volunteers and everyone who helps make this work possible.
Together, we are building a stronger, more connected and caring Western Port community — one meal at a time. ❤️
