Macey and Lola had a fantastic time in Cue last week, supporting learning in the classroom, running PE lessons and lunchtime sports, and sharing plenty of fun and laughter with young people at the Youth Centre.

Building positive relationships, encouraging active participation, and creating opportunities for young people to connect and grow are at the heart of what we do. It was wonderful to see so many students getting involved and enjoying the activities throughout the week.

A big thank you to Cue Primary School and the Shire of Cuefor your continued support and partnership. Together, we are helping create positive pathways and opportunities for young people in the Cue community.

Flashback to 2018, during one of the Carey–Meekatharra crossover trips, where students were given the opportunity to “walk in others’ shoes” through shared learning and collaboration.

Aboriginal artist and Meekatharra local Ando Binsiar led young people from Carey and Meekatharra in a collaborative brainstorm and design process to create a mural on the newly painted wall at the youth centre.

The artwork reflects the shared journey of Carey Right Track and the Meekatharra community, highlighting connection, respect, and walking together through culture, creativity, and community.

Today on United Nations Day for Cultural Diversity and Dialogue, we celebrate the strength, beauty and richness found in every culture and community.

At Carey Right Track Foundation, we are privileged to walk alongside young people and communities from many different backgrounds across Western Australia. We believe that listening, learning and building genuine relationships creates stronger communities and brighter futures.

Cultural diversity is more than something to acknowledge — it is something to value, respect and celebrate every day. Through conversation, connection and understanding, we can continue creating spaces where every young person feels seen, heard and valued.

Together, we grow stronger through diversity.

✨ Term 2 – Week 3 ✨

Another great week up in Cue! At the Youth Centre, we enjoyed lots of very competitive basketball games, crafts, rock painting, card games and plenty of yummy food.

At the school, we provided support in the classrooms and had lots of fun playing octopus and skipping during recess and lunch breaks.

A big thank you to Ben, Gina and Bev at the Youth Centre, along with Cue Primary School, the Cue Shire and Westgold, for their continued support. We are looking forward to bringing more exciting after-school activities to the kids in Cue.

See you all in Week 5! 🌟

Thanks to the Shire of Mount Magnet for their support to make this possible.

A big thank you to Regan for leading our Cue program over the past 12 months.

His energy, commitment and care for young people have made a lasting impact in the community.

Regan will be taking a break to undergo ankle surgery and fulfil his university commitments. We’re wishing him a smooth recovery and all the best with his studies.

We’re excited to have Macey stepping up into the lead role, continuing the great work and building strong connections with the young people in Cue.

We look forward to hopefully welcoming Regan back soon!

We are back for Term 2 and what a fantastic start it has been!

This week brought an amazing turnout at the youth centre! We had so much fun at a Boogie and Bounce session at the hall, along with a range of activities including painting, face painting, basketball and cooking.

At school, students finished the week with a basketball session, focusing on developing their dribbling and catching skills. It was great to see everyone having a go and showing good sportsmanship.

It is awesome to be back and we’re looking forward to a fun and exciting term ahead!

Great to see Term 2 off to such a strong start in Mount Magnet!

Terry and Jess have hit the ground running, supporting learning in the classroom and bringing energy and fun to PE, recess, and lunch programs.

Working alongside GSAC, the team continues to create meaningful opportunities for young people through the Shire of Mount Magnet Youth Engagement Program, from afterschool games at the oval and basketball courts to connection and activity at the youth centre.

Building relationships, staying active, and creating positive spaces for young people to thrive. See you again in week 4.
