MEETING 210: Stepping into the room felt like walking straight into the heart of a tempest, yet the theme of the meeting promised a strange kind of stillness amid the turbulence: The Eye of the Storm.

​From the opening gavel, the energy in the room was nothing short of electric. The word of the day, "calm," became an instant favorite, woven skillfully into opening remarks and spontaneous observations as members and guests alike wrestled with the unpredictable nature of the theme.

​The session launched straight into the adrenaline of the table topics session rather than traditional pacing. A lineup of brave reactors stepped up to the podium first, facing impromptu prompts designed to test their quick-thinking abilities under sudden pressure. Each speaker tackled the challenge with remarkable wit and resilience, turning what easily could have been an overwhelming scramble into a brilliant display of polished extemporaneous speaking.

​Following the spontaneous sparks of table topics, the stage welcomed three formal speakers who masterfully navigated the remaining winds of the agenda. They delivered poised, compelling presentations that anchored the room, proving that even when life swirls out of control, structured thought can ultimately prevail.

​The entire experience was made all the more vibrant by the presence of five engaged guests, whose attentive listening and enthusiastic participation added a wonderful dynamic to the evening's evaluations. As the meeting drew to a close, the storm clouds parted, leaving behind a room full of energized communicators ready to weather any professional or personal tempest that comes their way.

🔥 Meeting 208 Highlights: “Fight or Flight” 🔥
6th June 2026; Saturday

What an energising and thought-provoking session we had at Meeting 208, centred around the powerful theme “Fight or Flight.”

Our Table Topics segment truly brought out the courage in everyone, with six brave reactors stepping up to tackle intriguing questions and quotes inspired by the theme. Each speaker shared unique perspectives, reflecting on how we respond to challenges—whether we face them head-on or choose to step back.

We were also inspired by a meaningful educational session, where our speaker shared her personal journey of conquering the fear of public speaking. Her story reminded us that growth begins outside our comfort zone—and today, she stands as a sought-after speaker in her community. Truly motivating! 🌟

The learning continued with two outstanding prepared speeches, both creatively aligned with the theme, offering valuable insights and powerful messages.

What made the meeting even more impactful were the thoughtful evaluations. Each evaluator highlighted strengths while offering constructive suggestions, helping every speaker grow and improve.

To top it all off, we were delighted to welcome four guests, making the meeting even more vibrant and special. We hope you enjoyed the experience and felt the supportive spirit of our club!

🪜Stepping Up to Success at Our 207th Meeting! 🚀

What an incredible session we had on May 2nd! Our 207th meeting was all about "Stepping Up, Up, Up!" and our members truly lived up to the theme.

It was inspiring to watch our members take the stage, from the quick-thinking brilliance during Table Topics to the polished, powerful formal speeches that kept us all engaged. We also took a moment to dive deep into an educational input session, where we walked away with so many valuable new insights to elevate our communication and leadership journeys.

Above all, it was a fantastic time of growth, learning, and camaraderie. Thank you to everyone who joined us and brought such great energy to the room!

🌟 Time's Up! 🌟 Meeting 206 - 11 Apr 2026

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Toastmasters meeting themed "Time's Up." We had an engaging session with six Table Topic reactors, one educational input, two formal speakers, and an insightful Soapbox speech. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the value of every moment and how we can maximize our time.

We were also excited to be graced by the presence of two guests, adding to our vibrant discussion. Together, we focused on delivering concise messages and recognizing the powerful impact our words can have within the time we are given.

🌟 Exciting Recap of UP UP Toastmasters Club Meeting 205 🌟

Theme: Let's Communicate!

Our recent meeting was a fantastic success, with great attendance from both members and a guest. The room was set up for a fun and engaging gathering. Everyone eagerly participated when our Table Topics Master challenged them with questions about communicating care for others.

Our table topics evaluator shared insightful observations on each participants' strengths during their speeches, highlighting their "gems" and areas for improvement. The business session covered all key agenda items, and while it was a bit lengthy, it was productive.

In the education segment, we were fortunate to have a formal speakers who provided valuable insights from travels experiences to conflict resolution. The evaluations offered were informative and will be beneficial for our upcoming speeches.

As always, a delightful morning tea marked both the beginning and conclusion of our meeting, which started and ended on time.

The UpUP Toastmasters Club successfully concluded its 204th meeting, themed "Grow!" The event saw participation from several guests, who engaged actively in the Table Topics Session and provided commendations following the meeting.

The gathering centered around celebrating Sarah's birthday and recognizing the club's accomplishments during the recently held Area Contest. Attendees gained valuable insights from an educational segment on Evaluation and Business Meeting Proceedings.

Additionally, we were pleased to have three formal speakers, one of whom delivered a practice talk in preparation for the Division Contest. The meeting fostered a productive environment where participants aligned their personal goals with those of the club, further emphasizing the theme of growth.

We look forward to seeing everyone at our next meeting on March 7, 2026, Saturday, at Harris Park Community Center.
