Our community centres are the heart of our community, bringing us together through social, educational, recreational and support activities.

Connect, create, play, learn and belong with a range of classes, events and resources. The Centre is wheelchair accessible and very close to the train and bus station.

☕ First up is an afternoon tea for the Highett community. Meet your neighbours and connect with locals over a cuppa and delicious nibbles.

🏠 After chatting away, stick around for an informative presentation led by Kieser on 'How to Maintain Independence as You Age'. This practical talk will cover strength & mobility, tips for daily living, and long-term vitality.

These events are completely free and open to everyone. We can't wait to see you there!

Seated and standing options available to gently bring back your physical strength in a group setting, utilising resistance bands and hand weights. Chantal is passionate about making a difference to help people move better for longer.

As a warm extension of The Friendly Club, this group is tailored for widowers and surviving partners of veterans. Navigating life after losing a military partner brings unique challenges, but you don't have to carry them alone.

Facilitated by Bec, a Monash Masters of Counselling student, we offer a safe, uplifting space to navigate grief, share stories, and find comfort, laughter, and understanding with people who truly understand.

🎉 A huge congratulations to our incredibly talented art tutors for their success at the Glen Eira and Cheltenham Art Group Annual Exhibition for 2026! 🎉

🏅 Amy won Best Mixed Media for her piece, ‘Many Magnificent Moments’

🏅 Suzy won Best Other Medium for her submission, ‘Trees, Dunes & Grasses’

The exhibition runs until the 6th of September, with all pieces displayed at the Glen Eira City Council Gallery.

Amy currently teaches our Art for Wellbeing class on Saturdays, and Suzy leads several of our art classes, including drawing, watercolour, and soft pastels.

❤️ Join the Heart Foundation and Heart of the Nations Free CPR & AED Awareness Session ❤️

Whether you're First Aid certified, need a refresher or are new to first aid, this session will help take you on the first steps to helping someone in a cardiac emergency.

What to expect:
✅ Learn the difference between a heart attack and cardiac arrest
✅ Understand how to recognise when someone needs CPR
✅ Get hands-on practice with CPR and an AED (defibrillator)
✅ Build the confidence to take action when it matters most
