Our visit to the University hospital yesterday with the Heartbeat Vietnam team melted my heart. Although we didn’t sponsor the children’s surgery that we met today, we were able to give them all gifts and provide a little donation to help their families.
Today is why I’m so excited to get the HHHH fundraising events happening again next year. There are still so many beautiful children that are waiting for heart surgeries that need our help! ❤️❤️ xx Jen

Finally we are back in Vietnam, visiting the people and programs we love so much. ❤️❤️

Matt and I were able to take 75Kgs of donated wound care, medical supplies and equipment thanks to Rotary Donations in Kind West Footscray

Special thanks to Jetstar Australia
for providing us with excess baggage again.

It's the support of organisations like Jetstar and RotaryDIK that enables us to generously give to so many.

Lots of photos of our upcoming visits will be posted over the next two weeks.

This must be one of the proudest moments for me and for all that Sue McGregor and I have achieved at HHHH.

It is a powerful reminder that none of this would have been possible without the support of our incredible donors and supporters.

In 2016, HHHH funded life-changing heart surgeries for Thy and Phuong.
Following their recovery, we continued to support their education by providing HHHH scholarships for English classes due to their outstanding academic achievements.

Today, I am delighted to share that both Thy and Phuong commenced university studies this year. Thy is pursuing a degree in Business, while Phuong is studying Information Technology.

For everyone who has supported HHHH over the years, this is the impact of your generosity. Your contributions have not only transformed lives but have also helped create opportunities for a brighter future. Seeing these two young people embark on their university journeys is a testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together to make a difference.

Thank you for being part of this remarkable journey. (Pic from 2019)
❤️❤️ from Thy and Phuong’s second mums (Sue and Jen). Xx

The team at Heartbeat Vietnam continue to save the lives of precious children like 15 year old My Xuyen and 5 year old Nha Than every day and it is always such a privilege to visit with the children and their families at the hospital. Hearing their heartbreaking stories always reminds us of how lucky we are to have our Children’s Hospitals in Australia that are there for any child who needs life saving treatment and surgeries. Sadly this is not the case for poor families in Vietnam. We are so blessed to have this long standing and incredibly rewarding partnership with Heartbeat Vietnam and to continue helping them to save the lives of more beautiful children ❤️

Another day filled with the sunshine that comes from seeing joyful, grateful students being given their only chance to escape poverty through the tireless efforts of St Joseph’s inspiring principal Lan and her teaching team. Without this incredible place, these children would be denied an education and that shouldn’t happen to any child. There is so much love in this school and each time I return I am reminded that these precious children are a part of my beautiful extended Vietnamese family. They have my heart ❤️

The work that principal Lan and her team at St. Joseph's Charity School do to give these children from very poor families the chance to receive an education that will provide them with better opportunities in life is just incredible. They are such an inspirational group of women!

Kathy and Pete Gray, I think it’s safe to say the chalk was an absolute hit with the students …a great way to communicate and spell out our names for each other (especially when our Vietnamese language skills are so bad 🤦‍♀️). All of the books, pencils, pens etc were also greatly appreciated, as was the donation from our nephew and niece, Eddie and Alice, that will help fund the school’s snack program, ensuring each student receives something nourishing to eat every day.

Thank you for making us feel so welcome, our visits to St Joseph’s always fills our hearts with so much joy ❤️

Special thanks to the amazing team at Heartbeat Vietnam - Nhịp tim Việt Nam, who with very short notice, were able to organise for us to visit the Tam Duc Heart hospital to meet the 3 children whose heart surgeries we recently sponsored. This is beautiful 4 year old Thanh Tinh, who had her heart surgery one week ago. To see her so healthy and engaged in her new colouring in book, just 5 days after open heart surgery was amazing. She has a twin sister waiting at home for her in their local village, a 12 hr bus ride from HCMC and she was already planning which gifts she would share with her 🥰 This visit filled our hearts with so much love ❤️

Special thanks to Eddie, Alice, Adam and Angus for donating their books, toys and clothes, and to little Ziggy for buying activity packs, coloring in books and pencils. The children having heart surgery at the Tam Duc hospital and the children at the Te Phan orphanage absolutely loved receiving your kind gifts.
Sue and I are really proud and appreciative of the generosity of our youngest HHHH supporters. 💕💕💕
