🎊THIS OCTOBER, seniors across Victoria are invited to participate in the 2026 Seniors Festival! 🎊

Locals can explore the range of free and low cost activities hosted by Bayside City Council, including open days, food, art, and more!

BayCISS encourages anyone to come and explore these events. This is a great way to take on this year's theme 'Connect. Create. Celebrate.' and meet other seniors in our community.

Here at BayCISS, we see how loneliness can impact anyone in our community and if you or someone you know needs support, we're here to help.

We were so grateful to Greater Melbourne Foundation for their recent support of BayCISS' Winter Energy Program! Thanks to Mayor Georgina Oxley, who presented these funds to Rose in recognition of this partnership's impact.

Thanks to this support, BayCISS has been able to provide winter kits and contribute towards heating costs for local community members doing it tough this season. These essential supports make a real difference, helping people stay warm, healthy, and a little less stressed about rising bills.

We're proud to call the Greater Melbourne Foundation a partner in this work, and grateful for everything their support makes possible for our community. 🙏

Join us this Wednesday for R U OK Day, to raise awareness of mental health and well-being!

Hosted at Hampton Community Centre, this Mini-Expo will include morning tea, a coffee-van and great conversation with a free Meditation for Beginners session. There is a $2 fee to attend.

Hampton Community Centre invites you to join us for an R U OK? Day Mental Health and Wellbeing Expo. With 12 exhibitors, a therapy dog and free meditation class, the expo is dedicated to fostering connections, promoting mental health and well-being, and supporting each other.
Learn about the services available in your community whether for yourself or a loved one. We'll also have a coffee van and morning tea available, all aimed at nurturing positive mental health and creating a supportive community.

It's Census Night!

Experiencing homelessness, or sleeping rough? Here is your guide to the 2026 Australian Census.

Between the 10th - 16th August, Census Field Staff can help those experiencing homelessness to have their voices recorded.

Homeless Support Workers can also help you fill in a Census form.

Your answers matter; by estimating how many people are experiencing homelessness in Australia, governments and community organisations can determine where support is needed most.
