As the dust settles on the whirlwind that was December and the New Year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on everything that was Art For Everyone.

What began as another dream -became a reality through the tireless workings, passion, and commitment of so many within our incredible little community.

From this project flowed countless stories, connections, shared moments, and beautiful memories.

At its heart, AFE was always intended to be a disability-led pop-up shop, showcasing art and curios created by local artists and makers.
This is empowerment through art — straight from your local disability community.

But it became so much more.

Thanks to the generosity and support of our community, together we not only raised the lid on the talents our disability community has to offer, but we raised some much needed funds. Some funds were payed to our artists for selling their very own art and
$5,330 has been donated by Studio44Chaucer to

THIS IS NOT A DRILL

It’s the last day of the Art for Everyone Pop-Up Shop and after today… p**f, we vanish like an unfinished sketch.

If you’ve been saying “I’ll pop in later” — this is later.

Come say g’day, have a laugh, admire some awesome art, and maybe take home something that makes your walls feel not only more colorful but a reminder and celebration of our wonderful disability community.

See you before we pack it all up and cry a little about how truly amazing this has been. A huge shout out to our pals for providing the space for this amazing initiative 🫶. More shout outs but let’s make today something special

“Hi im Di Harwood. I live in Digby with my 3 chickens. Bella, Rappy and Darling. I also have 3 cats. Art brings me a great deal of joy, as I have MS an find it hard sometimes. I don’t feel inhibated anymore to try new things. Color therapy is a very enjoyable way to express myself.”

Our little pop-up shop is nearly at an end, which means it’s time to introduce you to more of the crew.

Meet 23-year-old Duncan Stanhope.
Duncan has been doing art therapy for over ten years and absolutely loves it. It gives him a deep sense of pride and achievement, and he finds the process calming and soothing.

Seeing Duncan in his flow state gives me all the feels.
In a big, noisy world filled with unpredictability, this is his safe space.
He seems to enter a transformative zone, where a sense of calm and zen washes over him. With delicate, concise strokes, dots, and lines, he creates beauty that flows straight from his fingertips.

The often quiet and content Duncan becomes anything but as he creates bold, colourful, and loud pieces that radiate joy and make you feel happy..

Another pipe dream for our disability community in Hamilton has come to life — ART FOR EVERYONE.

Watching these artists stand beside their work with such pride brought all the feels.

Their joy, their confidence, their connection to their pieces — it was everything.

In this space, they are equal.
They are powerful.
They are artists.

So proud of this incredible group and their pop-up shop. Hamilton, come out and feel the magic for yourself.

Next up we have the luminous Lillian — affectionately known as "Lil".

She quite literally lights up the room the moment she steps into Sue’s space. Painting gear on, playlist queued (because the vibe has to be right), and she’s instantly in her creative flow.

Lil’s calming, gentle energy translates beautifully onto the page. Her work is full of precise lines, soft colour play, and a quiet confidence that shines through every piece.

And of course, if you’ve ever been around her, you’ll know the cheeky smirks are flowing. Its so beautiful to witness the shared moments with fellow artists as Lil often shares the space with a little crew.
They bring out the best in each other — creating the perfect vibe for creativity to flourish.

Aliera is the epitome of joy.

Resilient, humble, and completely unfazed and at peace when in the studio -- even after everything life has thrown her way at such a young age.
But in true Aliera fashion, she just keeps on keeping on.

I’m never sure if she gets more paint on her hands or the paper — but whatever does make it onto the page is pure magic.

Her cheeky attitude spills into every piece, and she giggles as she brings the most colorful characters to life (for example , one of her latest pieces-- "t***y sisters in Sydney" and you can only imagine the giggles that took place in the studio😂)

This is what art — and inclusion — is all about!

Joel, Joel, Joel… where do we even start?

This 24 yo guy is a creative genius — a brain buzzing with quirky ideas and a notebook full of wild dreams and big goals.

Even though he only picked up a paintbrush in the last couple of years, Joel has absolutely hit the ground running. His talent has grown at lightning speed. " the biggest inspiration for me is to focus on my imagination"

But it’s not just the art itself — it’s the way he talks about it.
Joel’s storytelling and the way he articulates the meaning behind his pieces are truly second to none.
