What a deadly day at our Gardening Workshop 🌱

Thank you to everyone who came along to our last workshop, shared a yarn and got their hands in the garden.

From planting seedlings to spending time together outdoors, it was a great way to connect, learn and enjoy being out in nature.

Hope those seedlings are settling in nicely at home 🌿

We're looking forward to doing it all again at next week's workshop and seeing some familiar faces around the garden.

Thank you to all the women who joined us and helped make our Self-Care Day so specialπŸ’œ

Last month, women from our community came together for a Self-Care Day as part of Family Violence Prevention Month.

It was a chance to slow down, connect, share a yarn and spend some time together.

The day was filled with connection, conversation, laughter and a little time to be looked after.

These moments matter. They give us space to come together, support one another and strengthen our connections with community.

πŸ’œ We loved sharing the day with you.

Bowel cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting Mob, but when it is found early there are more options for treatment and better health outcomes.

If you're aged 50 to 74, you should receive a free bowel screening test in the mail every two years.

If you’re aged 45 to 49, you can also get a free kit.

It’s also important to follow up any unusual signs or symptoms. If something doesn’t feel quite right, book in for a yarn with one of our health team.

Come and see us for a yarn about gut health, bowel screening and staying strong.

🌿 Deadly Gut Health Bags available.

All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mob and families welcome πŸ–€πŸ’›β™₯️
