ππ¨ Wildlife Emergency Kit β Are You Prepared?
We are often asked what you should keep in your car in case you come across injured wildlife, especially koalas, on our roads. Having a few simple items on hand can make a huge difference while waiting for a rescuer to arrive.
π§Ί Wildlife Emergency Essentials:
βοΈ Thick towel or blanket β protects you from teeth and claws and helps safely move off road and cover wildlife
βοΈ Washing basket β can be placed over a koala to keep them safe and contained (and handy for storing your emergency kit)
βοΈ Flagging tape or bright marker β helps rescuers locate the animal if you canβt stay
βοΈ Torch β useful for seeing the animal safely at night or in low-light conditions
