🏃‍♀️ Handicap Night – Tomorrow! 🏃‍♂️

Tomorrow night is Handicap Night, one of the most exciting events of the season! This is a great night where it’s a level playing field and everyone has a chance to win.

Handicaps have been calculated using all results and personal bests recorded throughout the season.

How it will work:
• Each group will complete 2 runs and 2 field events
• Runs will use staggered starts, with athletes positioned on the track according to their handicap marks. Everyone starts on the same call, so it’s a real race to the finish!
• Field events will run as usual, with results calculated after the event.

📂 Instructions and handicap details will be in your group folders, and distances will be marked on the running track.

Most importantly — have fun and work together to help organise runners on their handicap marks. It’s a great night for teamwork and cheering each other on! 🎉

Woady Yaloak Athletics Club continue to stand behind Woady Yaloak Football Netball Club! Thank you to all community members for the continued support we are throwing around the club.

LET OUR KIDS PLAY!

We are Woady Yaloak Athletics Club and we wear the Woady name with immense pride.
We are shocked and frankly furious that the BFNL has made the decision to exclude the Woady Yaloak Football Netball Club from the fixture in 2026, essentially ending the clubs future.
We stand beside the football and netball club community in calling for a solution to get our kids back on the footy field and netball court and to keep the Woady Yaloak name alive.
The Woady Yaloak name is more than just our individual clubs, it is community.
Our community.
Our kid’s community.
And the effects of the BFNL’s “carefully considered” decision reaches far further than the football and netball court.
Our Woady community is unique, in that we span different postcodes, different towns, different local government areas, different schools. And yet, we gather to play and participate together. We grow together. We work together to build amazing opportunities not only for our own kids, but for all local kids.
And we do it with the Woady Yaloak name.
Our bonds grow and strengthen, regardless of where we live, work, or go to school. That is the magic of the Woady Yaloak name.
As parents also involved in the Football and Netball Club, we see firsthand that our clubs share more than just the Woady Yaloak name. The Football Netball Club provide an amazing environment for kids to participate as they are. The inclusiveness and welcoming nature of the club is something we strive to emulate at the athletics club.
As small clubs, we work so hard to get our kids active and participating. We don’t do it for ourselves, we don’t do it for accolades or recognition, or often even thanks. We do it for our kids and our community. We do it to belong to something that is bigger than the individual. Our Sporting Club.
The BFNL should be ashamed of their disregard for the kids involved in the club and how this diminishes their opportunities for participation, both on the sporting field, and as active members of their community.
We stand with Woady Yaloak Football Netball Club.
