Hepatitis SA

Hepatitis SA A South Australian based community organisation providing free info & support about viral hepatitis. We are open Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Hepatitis SA is an incorporated, not-for-profit, community-based organisation that grew from a support group set up by people living with hepatitis C and supportive others in the early 90s. We provide information, education and support services to South Australians affected by hepatitis B and hepatitis C. This includes people living with hepatitis B or C, their family and friends, and professional

s who support them. For more about us, or to learn more about viral hepatitis, visit hepsa.asn.au. Our confidential helpline – 1800 437 222 – is available during the same hours. We publish a quarterly print magazine alongside our news site HepSA Community News – hepsa.asn.au/communitynews – which features more in-depth information and discussion on hepatitis-related research and issues. Electronic versions of Hepatitis SA publications can be found at Issuu.com/hepccsa, including a complete collection of our magazine from issue #1 – bit.ly/hcnstack. Hepatitis SA maintains Australia's only specialist hepatitis library with over 2000 free-to-access online titles from around Australia and elsewhere – hepsa.catalyst-koha.com.au. The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day. Reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights isn’t a passive activity, and it is not solely the responsibility of First Nations people, who have carried the weight of championing, explaining and acting for far too long. Reconciliation will not happen by itself, and it will not happen without all of us.

National Sorry Day 26 May, From Sorry to Action. The theme for this year’s National Sorry Day is From Sorry to Action. The call is clear, we must move from words to action, and this needs to happen now, not in another decade.
Acknowledging past harm is important, but acting to address it is critical. Sorry signals compassion, action, delivers justice. We encourage everyone to mark National Sorry Day on 26 May to ensure this day is part of an ongoing commitment to truth-telling and healing.
