Gympie First Forums Inc

The Gympie First Forums were developed in 2012 by the then Member for Gympie, David Gibson, as a way to put "Gympie First" and lead the transformation and regeneration of the Gympie electorate as a region of opportunity and influence. Each forum aims to provide an opportunity for local business and community leaders to meet with either industry, academic or government speakers on important local t

opics and to open discussion and share information about programs and look at ways in which the business community can work together towards the revitalisation of Gympie. The objectives of Gympie First are to hold community forums which:
*Provide exposure to innovations and opportunities that may involve local businesses in economic development.
* Exchange information concerning matters relevant to business and community leaders in Gympie.
*Discuss what public policy changes will benefit the local region.
*Explore trends, issues and ideas shaping the economy of our region.
*Identify key issues and determine opportunities for growth and more generally foster the co-operative relationship between business, community and the State Government. Application was made to become and Incorporated Association which was approved on 15 October 2014.
